Cabrillo Conquistadores (Lompoc, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Templeton Eagles (Templeton, CA), 13-1 in a league challenge.

The Conquistadores now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pioneer Valley for a challenge on Thursday, March 28. Cabrillo will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Clovis (Clovis, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Templeton falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Atascadero (Atascadero, CA) to battle the Greyhounds in a challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Atascadero won 17-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Whitney (Visalia, CA)
