Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, NC), 22-9 in a league challenge.

The Hurricanes now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Manteo for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10.

With the loss, Columbia falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC) to face the Bears in a Atlantic 1A challenge on Monday, April 8. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 6-3.
