George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Notre Dame Academy for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4.

With the loss, Paul Laurence Dunbar falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Tates Creek (Lexington, KY) to face the Commodores in a District 43 challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Commodores enter the challenge with a record of 2-7. Tates Creek lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY)
