Roane County Raiders (Spencer, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gilmer County Titans (Glenville, WV), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Ripley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. Roane County will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 11-2 non-league win over Sissonville (Charleston, WV). The Vikings record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Gilmer County falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to battle the Eagles in a Little Kanawha challenge on Monday, April 1. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Braxton County lost 16-0 in their recent league challenge against South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV)
