The Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) baseball trounced the host Central Bronchos (Marlow, OK), 11-4 in Thursday's league challenge.
The Comets now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fletcher for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 28. Velma-Alma will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Konawa (Konawa, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-7.
With the defeat, Central drops to 4-4 on the year. The Bronchos host Wilson (Wilson, OK) to clash with the Eagles in a Oilfield challenge on Thursday, March 27. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Wilson won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Bray-Doyle (Bray, OK)
