The Volunteer Falcons baseball team scored 2 runs and held the host Claiborne Bulldogs to 0 in the Falcons league win on Thursday.

The Falcons now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grainger for a 3A District 2 test on Monday, March 31. Volunteer will clash with a Grizzlies team coming off a 11-5 non-league win over Eagleton College & Career Academy (Maryville, TN). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-10.

With the defeat, Claiborne drops to 7-6 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league test on Friday, March 28. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 4-6. Campbell County lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN)
