Louisiana High School Baseball - Southside defeats Lafayette

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) and the visiting Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA), saw Southside's baseball team gain a win over Lafayette by a tally of 9-1.
The Sharks (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Rams enter the 5A District 3 battle with a 10-14 record. In their last battle, Acadiana was overwhelmed by Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 8-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Lions face the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) in a 5A District 3 battle, on Saturday, March 29. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Golden Tors enter the battle with a 13-14 record after their 10-1 league win over New Iberia (New Iberia, LA).
