South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Brunswick Pirates (Brunswick, GA), 5-2 in a league test.

With the triumph, South Effingham advances its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Long County (Ludowici, GA) to clash with the Blue Tide in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2. The Blue Tide come into the test with a record of 12-1. Long County won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA)

The Pirates now have a 2-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valdosta for a non-league test on Friday, April 11.
