In Thursday's league game, the host Cesar Chavez Champions baseball team scored a nice 16-1 victory over the Maryvale Panthers.

The Champions (3-5) will now prepare for their game against South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ). The Jaguars enter the game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, South Mountain was overwhelmed by Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ), 20-3, in a league game.

Next, the Panthers face the Browne Bruins (Phoenix, AZ) in a game, on Tuesday, April 8. Maryvale will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
