The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) and the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), saw Draughn's baseball team gain a win over Mitchell by a tally of 15-3.

The Wildcats (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses enter the non-league battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Owen was overwhelmed by McDowell (Marion, NC), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
