In Thursday's league test, the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) lacrosse team overwhelmed the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), by a count of 19-0.

Next up, the Pirates battle the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a Mideastern test, on Tuesday, April 1. Topsail will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Trojans enter the test with a 1-7 record after their 5-4 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC).

The Cougars (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Marysville (Marysville, OH). The Monarchs enter the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Marysville topped West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC), 13-7, in a non-league test.
