The Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) softball routed the visiting Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA), 11-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Vikings now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leechburg for a non-league outing on Monday, March 31. Apollo Ridge will encounter a Blue Devils team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Valley moves to 0-4 on the season. The Vikings host Derry (Derry, PA) to encounter the Trojans in a WPIAL 4A 1 outing on Monday, March 31. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Derry won 15-0 in their recent non-league outing against Jeannette (Jeannette, PA)
