The Pike County Central Hawks softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Betsy Layne Bobcats to 5 in the Hawks non-league win on Thursday.

The Hawks now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Phelps for a District 60 battle on Saturday, March 29. Pike County Central will confront a Hornets team coming off a 18-5 non-league loss to Council (Council, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Betsy Layne moves to 4-2 on the season. The Bobcats host Morgan County (West Liberty, KY) to confront the Cougars in a non-league battle on Monday, April 7. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 3-8.
