The Christian County Colonels softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Calloway County Lakers to 1 in the Colonels non-league win on Thursday.

The Colonels now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madisonville-North Hopkins for a non-league battle on Friday, March 28. Christian County will confront a Maroons team coming off a 6-5 league win over Caldwell County (Princeton, KY). The Maroons record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Calloway County moves to 0-10 on the season. The Lakers host Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY) to confront the Bombers in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 29. The Bombers come into the battle with a record of 3-3. Ballard Memorial lost 12-2 in their recent non-league battle against McCracken County (Paducah, KY)
