In Thursday's non-league test, the Springfield Blue Devils (Holland, OH) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Central Catholic Fighting Irish (Toledo, OH), by a tally of 7-0.

Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Assumption Rockets (Louisville, KY) in a non-league test, on Sunday, March 30. Springfield will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Rockets go into the test with a 9-3 record after their 11-6 non-league win over Barren County (Glasgow, KY).

The Fighting Irish (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Bishop Watterson (Columbus, OH). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Bishop Watterson was routed by Lincoln (Gahanna, OH), 7-5, in a non-league test.
