In Thursday's non-league match, the host Hartsville Red Foxes softball team scored a tight 10-3 win over the Dillon Wildcats.

The Red Foxes (10-4) will now prepare for their match against Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC). The Diamond Hornets come into the AAAA Region 5 match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, Lower Richland was routed by Darlington (Darlington, SC), 19-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) in a AAA Region 6 match, on Friday, March 28. Dillon will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 3-7 record after their 6-5 league loss to Waccamaw (Pawley's Island, SC).
