The Spring Creek Gators tipped the visiting Goldsboro Cougars softball team by a final score of 13-12 in Thursday's league match.

The Gators (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Beddingfield (Wilson, NC). The Bruins come into the Neuse Six 2A match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Beddingfield was nipped by Princeton (Princeton, NC), 16-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 31. Goldsboro will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Saints enter the contest with a 1-11 record after their 18-5 league loss to Fike (Wilson, NC).
