The Philadelphia Tornadoes (Philadelphia, MS) softball nipped the visiting J.Z. George Jaguars (North Carrollton, MS), 13-12 in Thursday's league outing.
The Tornadoes now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kemper County for a non-league outing on Friday, March 28. Philadelphia will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 20-19 non-league win over Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, J.Z. George moves to 4-11 on the season. The Jaguars host Riverside (Avon, MS) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, March 28. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 10-4. Riverside won 19-0 in their recent league outing against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS)
