North Carolina High School Softball - Piedmont bounces Monroe

March 27, 2025: Monroe, NC 28112

The Piedmont Panthers softball team scored 18 runs and held the host Monroe Redhawks to 0 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a non-league battle on Friday, March 28. Piedmont will confront a Ragin' Bulls team coming off a 18-1 league win over Cox Mill (Concord, NC). The Ragin' Bulls record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Monroe moves to 1-11 on the season. The Redhawks travel to Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC) to confront the Stallions in a non-league battle on Monday, March 31. The Stallions come into the battle with a record of 12-0. Queen's Grant won 20-1 in their recent league battle against Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC)
