In Thursday's league test, the Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), by a tally of 15-1.

Next, the Fighting Irish clash with the Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL) in a Tri-County test, on Tuesday, April 1. Seneca will attempt to advance on its 4-0 season record. The Mallards go into the test with a 4-0 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Hall (Spring Valley, IL).

The Panthers (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL). The Grey Ghosts go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Illinois Valley Central prevailed over Midland (Varna, IL), 18-3, in a non-league test.
