Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS), 5-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Salem improves its record to 8-7 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Tylertown (Tylertown, MS) to face the Chiefs in a non-league game on Friday, March 28. The Chiefs enter the game with a record of 2-12. Tylertown lost 16-11 in their recent league game against Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS)

The Crusaders now hold a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Salem for a 1A Region 8 game on Tuesday, April 1.
