The Monterey Plainsmen nipped the host Lubbock Westerners baseball squad by a score of 6-5 in Friday's league outing.

Next up, the Plainsmen battle the Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 outing, on Saturday, March 28. Monterey will attempt to advance on its 14-8 season record. The Westerners come into the outing with a 5-15 record after their 20-12 league loss to Tascosa (Amarillo, TX).
