The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) and the visiting Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM), observed Mayfield's baseball team beat Clovis by a margin of 8-3.
The Trojans (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldawgs enter the non-league game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Las Cruces was overwhelmed by Hobbs (Hobbs, NM), 11-10, in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 30. Clovis will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Rockets come into the match with a 8-6 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM).
