Texas High School Softball - Itasca bounces Covington

The Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX) softball routed the host Covington Owls (Covington, TX), 26-13 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Wampus Cats now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Italy for a 2A Region II District 15 test on Tuesday, March 31. Itasca will clash with a Gladiators squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Frost (Frost, TX). The Gladiators record now stands at 14-8.

The Owls (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Blum (Blum, TX). The Bobcats go into the 2A Region II District 15 test with a 0-11 record. In their last test, Blum was routed by Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX), 16-2, in a non-league test.
