The Gordo Green Wave baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the host South Lamar Stallions to 0 in the Green Wave non-league victory on Monday.
The Green Wave (10-4) will now prepare for their match against Holt (Holt, AL). The Ironmen go into the 4A Area 6 match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Holt was overwhelmed by Wenonah (Birmingham, AL), 13-12, in a non-league match.
The Stallions (3-9) will now prepare for their match against Pickens County (Reform, AL). The Tornadoes go into the 1A Area 8 match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Pickens County gained a win over Hubbertville (Fayette, AL), 13-1, in a non-league match.
