The Weldon Chargers baseball team (Weldon, NC), was overwhelmed 22-1 in Monday's league outing with the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC)
The Vikings now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Warren County for a Tar Roanoke 1A outing on Friday, April 1. Northwest Halifax will face a Eagles team coming off a 21-1 league win over Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
Next, the Chargers face the KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC) in a Tar Roanoke 1A outing, on Thursday, March 31. Weldon will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Pride enter the outing with a 3-1 record after their 12-1 league win over North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC).
