Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA), 5-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates confront the Tattnall County Warriors (Reidsville, GA) in a AAA Region 1 challenge, on Wednesday, April 6. Appling County will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 13-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Wayne County (Jesup, GA).

The Herons now have a 1-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lowndes for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Brantley County will confront a Vikings team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-10.
