In Monday's non-league outing, the host Fruitdale Pirates softball team scored a nice 19-2 win over the Chickasaw Chieftains.
Coming up next, the Pirates encounter the Bayshore Christian Eagles (Fairhope, AL) in a 1A Area 1 outing, on Tuesday, March 29. Fruitdale will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 2-5 record after their 16-1 non-league loss to St. Paul's Episcopal (Mobile, AL).
The Chieftains (0-5) will now prepare for their outing against Cottage Hill Christian Academy (Mobile, AL). The Warriors enter the 3A Area 1 outing with a 1-6 record. In their last outing, Cottage Hill Christian Academy was routed by Faith Academy (Mobile, AL), 16-1, in a non-league outing.
