The Hobbton Wildcats softball team (Newton Grove, NC), was routed 11-5 in Monday's non-league test with the host Clinton Dark Horses (Clinton, NC)

Coming up next, the Dark Horses encounter the St. Pauls Bulldogs (St. Pauls, NC) in a Southeastern Athletic 2A test, on Tuesday, March 29. Clinton will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 2-6 record after their 8-0 league loss to Midway (Dunn, NC).

The Wildcats (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC). The Leopards come into the Carolina 1A test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Lakewood was routed by James Kenan (Warsaw, NC), 13-1, in a non-league test.
