The Providence Christian Eagles softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Cottondale Hornets to 1 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Providence Christian improves its record to 6-11 on the year. The Eagles host Wicksburg (Newton, AL) to clash with the Panthers in a 3A Area 3 game on Tuesday, March 29. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 19-6. Wicksburg lost 4-0 in their recent non-league game against Fairhope (Fairhope, AL)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Chipley Tigers (Chipley, FL) in a 1A District 3 game, on Friday, April 1. Cottondale will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 4-8 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to Mosley (Lynn Haven, FL).
