Lakin Broncs (Lakin, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Stanton County Trojans (Johnson, KS), 15-5 in a league challenge.

The Broncs now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ulysses for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. Lakin will face a Tigers squad coming off a 23-0 league loss to Scott (Scott City, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Stanton County falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Colby (Colby, KS) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
