Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), 12-1 in a league test.

With the win, Ashe County upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Huskies travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to battle the Spartans in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Friday, March 31. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 7-4. South Caldwell won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)

With the defeat, Freedom falls to 3-7 on the season. The Patriots host R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to battle the Hilltoppers in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 29. The Hilltoppers come into the test with a record of 8-2. R-S Central won 5-4 in their recent league test against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC)
