The Grants Pirates baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Valencia Jaguars to 3 in the Pirates league victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates (12-5) will now prepare for their match against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans go into the 4A District 5 match with a 12-2 record. In their last match, St. Pius X edged Belen (Belen, NM), 8-2, in a league match.
The Jaguars (6-11) will now prepare for their match against Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Ravens go into the non-league match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, Rio Grande was overwhelmed by Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 18-16, in a non-league match.
