Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), witnessed Alexander Central's softball squad tip South Caldwell by a count of 4-3.

The Cougars now sport a 6-0 record. They play next when they host Mooresville for a non-league match on Monday, April 3. Alexander Central will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, South Caldwell moves to 3-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to meet the Huskies in a non-league match on Monday, April 3. The Huskies go into the match with a record of 1-2. Ashe County lost 13-0 in their recent non-league match against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA)
