Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walkertown for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17.

With the loss, Forbush falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Northwest Guilford won 15-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Southern Alamance (Graham, NC)
