The Ansonia Tigers got by the visiting Riverside Pirates softball squad by a final score of 7-6 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Dixie (New Lebanon, OH). The Greyhounds go into the Western Ohio Athletic battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Dixie was edged by Valley View (Germantown, OH), 9-5, in a non-league battle.

The Pirates now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Northridge for a Three Rivers battle on Thursday, March 30. Riverside will meet a Polar Bears squad coming off a 26-0 league loss to Miami East (Casstown, OH). The Polar Bears record now stands at 0-1.
