North Carolina High School Softball - Hoggard bounces Ashley

March 28, 2023: Wilmington, NC 28403

Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laney for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Friday, March 31. Hoggard will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Ashley falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Screaming eagle host Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to face the Pirates in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Friday, March 31. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Topsail won 11-4 in their recent non-league challenge against New Bern (New Bern, NC)
