Breckenridge Buckaroos (Breckenridge, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Peaster Greyhounds (Peaster, TX), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Buckaroos now own a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brock for a 3A Region I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, April 4.

With the loss, Peaster falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Comanche (Comanche, TX) to face the Indians in a 3A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, March 31. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 12-9. Comanche lost 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Early (Early, TX)
