Bridgeport Indians (Bridgeport, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV), 8-4 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to University for a Two Rivers challenge on Wednesday, March 29. Bridgeport will face a Hawks squad coming off a 10-9 league win over Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV). The Hawks record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Grafton falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Lewis County (Weston, WV) to face the Minutemen in a Big Ten challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Lewis County lost 13-2 in their recent league challenge against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV)
