Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Pleasant for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 30. Cox Mill will face a Tigers squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, South Iredell falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 29. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. South Rowan won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC)
