The Crest Chargers routed the visiting North Gaston Wildcats softball squad by a count of 11-2 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Chargers (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers go into the non-league battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, R-S Central topped Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 14-2, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Bessemer City for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 29. North Gaston will meet a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-8.
