West Rusk Raiders (New London, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now sport a 17-0 record. They take the field next when they host Waskom for a 3A Region II District 16 challenge on Friday, March 31. West Rusk will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 18-3 league loss to Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-10.

With the loss, Elysian Fields falls to 12-12 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Arp (Arp, TX) to face the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 16 challenge on Friday, March 31. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 10-12. Arp lost 6-2 in their recent league challenge against Troup (Troup, TX)
