Pecos Eagles (Pecos, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX), 15-9 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Seminole for a 4A Region I District 3 challenge on Friday, March 31. Pecos will face a Indians squad coming off a 14-7 league loss to Monahans (Monahans, TX). The Indians record now stands at 12-10.

With the loss, Greenwood falls to 11-12 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX) to face the Panthers in a 4A Region I District 3 challenge on Friday, March 31. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Fort Stockton lost 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Andrews (Andrews, TX)
