The Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA) softball routed the host Halifax Wildcats (Halifax, PA), 17-2 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Buffaloes (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Greenwood (Millerstown, PA). The Wildcats go into the Tri-Valley bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Greenwood toppled Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy (Boalsburg, PA), 17-5, in a league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Line Mountain for a Tri-Valley bout on Thursday, March 30.
