North Carolina High School Softball - R-S Central bounces Hendersonville

March 28, 2023: Rutherfordton, NC 28139

R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Hilltoppers now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crest for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 30. R-S Central will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 11-2 league win over North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Hendersonville falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Bearcats host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. East Rutherford lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Brevard (Brevard, NC)
