Poland was led by senior pitcher and Cleveland State commit Katie McDonald who scattered 6 hits across 7 innings and tallied 14 strikeouts. She also helped herself out at the plate with two hits including a double. Poland's offense erupted for 12 hits led by Junior Leanne Williams who stayed perfect with 4 hits, including 3 doubles and 4 rbi's. Rounding out Poland's offense was Junior right fielder Meredith Trevis who tallied 2 hits and 2 rbi's along with freshman third baseman Elliana Thompson who also collected 2 hits.
Sophomore shortstop Lauren Komorek collected 2 doubles and Phoebe Rusnak added two hits. Rusnak took the loss on the mound.
Poland and Hubbard are set to square-off again tomorrow at Poland Lady Bulldog's new softball complex tomorrow at 5pm.
