The Italy Gladiators softball team scored 22 runs and limited the host Wortham Bulldogs to 0 in the Gladiators league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Italy improves its record to 16-2 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Frost (Frost, TX) to clash with the Polar Bears in a 1A Region II District 14 game on Friday, March 31. The Polar Bears come into the game with a record of 3-4.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Abbott Panthers (Abbott, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 game, on Friday, March 31. Wortham will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 7-6 record after their 16-0 league win over Coolidge (Coolidge, TX).
