Kountze Lions (Kountze, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Orangefield Bobcats (Orangefield, TX), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they host Hardin for a 3A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, March 31. Kountze will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 15-5 league loss to Buna (Buna, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Orangefield falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Kirbyville (Kirbyville, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a 3A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Kirbyville won 6-2 in their recent league challenge against Kountze (Kountze, TX)
