North Carolina High School Softball - Montgomery Central loses to Oak Grove

March 28, 2023: Troy, NC 27371

The Oak Grove Grizzlies softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves to 0 in the Grizzlies league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Oak Grove improves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Grizzlies travel to Central Davidson (Lexington, NC) to meet the Spartans in a Mid-Piedmont 3A battle on Friday, March 31. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 4-6. Central Davidson lost 9-8 in their recent league battle against North Davidson (Lexington, NC)

The Timberwolves now possess a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Pinecrest for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 30. Montgomery Central will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 24-2 league loss to Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-7.
