Montgomery Red Raiders (Montgomery, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix (Loganton, PA), 18-2 in a league challenge.

The Red Raiders now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bucktail for a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Thursday, March 30.

With the loss, Sugar Valley Rural falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA) to battle the Golden Knights in a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Golden Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
